Is Leadership a Gift or a Talent?

Is leadership a talent or a gift or is it both?

As a newborn, you came out of the womb a leader… all it took is the first cry and you were leading nurses and your mother to feed you, so we could say that leadership is something we are born with, and then we either hone that talent or we follow other people who enjoy leading others.

When you make the decision to start a business, that is a sign of a leader. You have a burning desire to choose your destiny and bring others along for the journey. Those others are your clients, team members and partners in one form or another.

As a coach and consultant, I see many firm owners that have a natural gift for leading, and some that struggle with the concept of leadership. If we seek additional skills and develop a vision, culture and team around an inspiring goal, we can literally move mountains.

What do you need to believe to be a great leader?

  • That you are worthy and deserving of being a successful leader.
  • That courage means that you act regardless of your fears.
  • That no progress is made without overcoming our own internal limits.

As leaders, focusing on an amazing future and not being stopped by the small voice in our heads that says we’re not worthy or we don’t deserve to be successful is sometimes easier said than done… isn’t it?

That’s why we invited an amazing woman, Rhonda Britten, to speak about Fearless Leadership at our upcoming Genius Exchange August 3 – 5 at The Ritz-Carlton, Denver.

Rhonda and I met a few years ago in a mastermind group and instantly developed a bond. Her story of overcoming fear is truly a hero’s journey. She can overcome the obstacles and fears that began with her father shooting her mother and then himself when she was just 14 years old. Today, she speaks globally on the subject of fear and how to overcome it. She’s been on the Steve Harvey Show and even appeared on Oprah!

I wanted to share her with you because she has an amazing gift of inspiring, motivating and helping others break through their fears to accomplish phenomenal breakthroughs. (And she has a beautiful singing voice!)

Leadership is acting in spite of fear, and if you’ve ever struggled with that small voice, you want to come to this great mastermind for leaders of businesses with $250K+ revenue (product sales + design fees).
Be extraordinary! >>> Meet Rhonda!
